The one where the string lights survived the rain
We string small lights along the back fence most of the year now, not for any occasion, just because the garden looks kinder after dark with them on. The plug where two extension leads meet sits low, near the flower bed, exactly where rain collects and finds its way into things that shouldn't get wet.

How it actually goes together
You feed the two cord ends in from either side, snap the lid down over four small latches plus one larger one, and the rubber seals inside grip the cord itself so nothing pulls loose. No tools, no wiring, about a minute per connection once you've done the first one.
It won't fit an oversized adapter or a right-angle plug, which caught me out once with a bulkier charger I tried to use it for. It's built for standard extension cord connections, and that's exactly what it does well.
We've had two proper storms since, the kind that flood the flower bed entirely, and the lights along the fence stayed on through both. That's a low bar for a product to clear, admittedly, but it's the bar that mattered to me, and the string lights over the fence line have kept their quiet job every evening since.
